The buttock lift is usually performed outpatient. It is used in the Twilight sleep or under general anaesthetic carried out.
What is the procedure?

In the first few days, it is usually necessary to take painkillers.
The patient can leave the bed on the first day after the operation. The duration of the inpatient stay is around two to three days. After about 14 days, the patient is fit for socialising again. Compression trousers must be worn for three to six weeks to ensure optimal healing. Sport should be avoided for six to eight weeks.
What complications can occur?
Even if the scars are normally narrow and inconspicuous, a relatively large internal wound surface is created. Possible complications include haematoma and wound healing disorders. If a wound healing disorder occurs due to an infection or circulatory disorder (especially in heavy smokers), wider scars may develop later. Such scars can be corrected about six months later under local anaesthetic.
