What side effects are to be expected?
The use of botulinum by an experienced specialist usually does not cause any long-term side effects.
Redness, burning or a feeling of pressure may occur in the treated area immediately after the treatment. You can actively support your body by cooling directly after the treatment.
Sometimes there is slight swelling and possibly minor bruising. These are usually no longer visible after 1-2 days. Of course, you can cover the tiny puncture marks with make-up immediately after the treatment. Allergies are rare, so there is no need for an allergy test.
How painful is treatment with muscle relaxants / BTX?
Every pain sensation is individual. Most patients consider the injection to be painless. If necessary, a skin anaesthetic cream is applied to the areas to be treated beforehand.
When will I be socially acceptable again?
After a Botox injection at our clinic in Frankfurt, you can immediately return to your usual everyday activities or work. There may be a brief period of reddening in the treatment area. However, this usually subsides after a few minutes. Bruising is rare - but usually subsides on its own after 1 to 2 days.
