With our intimate surgery in Frankfurt, we help modern women to realise their high expectations of an all-round aesthetic body
Many women have problems with the external appearance of their genital area. Childbirth, hormonal changes or even predisposition can cause unsightly changes in the genital area, which modern women are increasingly no longer simply accepting as fate.
The most common request is for correction of enlarged labia minora. The labia minora have the function of closing the vaginal entrance and should be completely covered by the labia majora. Enlarged labia minora protrude from the labia majora. Affected women often do not dare to go to the sauna, have problems with tight trousers, sports such as cycling and in some cases also during sex. Weakly developed or flaccid labia minora or an excessively large mons pubis can also disrupt the harmony of the genital area.
Orgasm problems can also have a physical cause and can sometimes be treated by moving the clitoris or padding the G-spot.
Who is intimate surgery suitable for?
Intimate surgery can help women who are dissatisfied with the external appearance of their intimate area because the labia minora and/or the clitoral hood are too large or asymmetrical (labia minora reduction, clitoral hood reduction), the labia minora are too underdeveloped or sagging (autologous fat augmentation, labiaplasty), the mons veneris is too large (liposuction) or there are physical orgasm problems (clitoral displacement, G-spot augmentation).
Reduction of the labia minora and clitoral hood / clitoral displacement
The procedure is usually performed under local anaesthetic (with sedation if required). So that you hardly feel the injection of the local anaesthetic, you first rub the genital area with an anaesthetic ointment, which has to work for a while. The planned incision is then marked.
The local anaesthetic is injected with a fine needle. The anaesthetic is mixed with a drug that causes the small blood vessels to contract locally. This minimises bleeding during the operation.
Excess tissue is now removed, leaving the front part as the new labia. If the clitoris is too far away from the vaginal entrance, the clitoris can be relocated. The wounds are closed in several layers with fine absorbable sutures.
Surgery for sagging or too small labia minora
The procedure is usually performed under local anaesthetic (with sedation if required). So that you hardly feel the injection of the local anaesthetic, you first rub the genital area with an anaesthetic ointment, which has to work for a while. If the labia minora are too thin, labia augmentation is performed using autologous fat grafting.
The fat is harvested and processed through a small liposuction procedure on the abdomen or hips. The fat is injected into the labia minora using very thin cannulas. If the skin is too loose, the labia minora can also be tightened by removing excess skin.
Surgery for an excessively large mons pubis / mons pubis correction
Excessively large outer pubic mounds are reduced by liposuction. The operation is performed under local anaesthetic, with sedation if necessary. First, a special solution containing saline solution, local anaesthetic and a drug to prevent heavy bleeding is injected.
The fat is then suctioned out with thin cannulas through small incisions in as inconspicuous an area as possible (possibly in the belly button or in natural folds). The fat cells are caused to vibrate rapidly (5,000/minute) by a vibrating handpiece. The rounded tip of the cannula vibrates past connective tissue fibres, blood vessels and nerves into the soft fatty tissue. The vibration means that hardly any force is required and the tissue is spared.
A mons pubis lift is sometimes necessary if there is a lot of excess skin. This involves removing skin from the upper part of the mons pubis to tighten the mons pubis. The wound is closed with absorbable sutures.
Padding of the G-spot with autologous fat
The procedure is usually performed under local anaesthetic (with sedation if required). So that you hardly feel the injection of the local anaesthetic, you first rub the intimate area with an anaesthetic ointment, which has to work for a while. The fat is removed by a small liposuction procedure on the abdomen.
After preparing the fat, only very small fat particles are injected under the vaginal mucosa in the area of the G-spot using very thin cannulas (micro-fat grafting).
FAQ - Frequently asked questions about intimate surgery
What needs to be considered before intimate surgery?
Tampons should not be used for the first two weeks after the operation. It may therefore be advisable to perform the operation at the end of your period or to use sanitary towels when your periods start.
Avoid acetylsalicylic acid (e.g. aspirin) for one week.
What complications can occur during intimate surgery?
Possible complications include haematoma and wound healing disorders. A temporary reduction in sensitivity to touch also occurs occasionally. After fat grafting, some of the fat is absorbed. The amount of fat breakdown can vary greatly from patient to patient.
What should you look out for after intimate surgery?
In the first few days you need to rest and not walk too much. Careful hygiene is very important to avoid the occurrence of an infection. Sport and sexual intercourse should be avoided for about four weeks (labia reduction). In the case of autologous fat injections or G-spot padding, this phase is shortened to one week. The stitches dissolve by themselves and do not need to be removed.
What scars can be expected after intimate surgery?
Wound healing in the genital area is usually completely uncomplicated and the fine scars are barely visible. A mons pubis lift results in a transverse scar above the mons pubis similar to a caesarean section scar.
