The most common method of breast augmentation offered in Germany is submuscular (under the muscle) placement of the implant. This relatively new method with very short scars (minimal scar method) and a subfacial position of the implant leads to very beautiful results, as the implant can be placed in a more aesthetically pleasing shape. 

There is often no pain postoperatively. The reason for this painless breast augmentation is that the muscle remains intact. It is not lifted out of its anatomical position. This advantage is also particularly important for athletic patients who do not want to be affected by sport after breast augmentation.

Mr Ruiz has learnt and personally developed this scar-saving method of breast augmentation, which involves little - if any - pain, through various stays at home and abroad (more about our plastic surgeon Oliver Ruiz).

Difference to most breast augmentations

Compared to most breast augmentations, which are performed with a scar of 4 to 7 cm, our technique is performed with a scar (depending on implant size) of 2.5 to 3.5 cm in the underbust crease. Thanks to the minimally invasive approach of this technique, the tissue is also protected by special instruments, resulting in a breast augmentation with minimal discomfort.

The fascia (muscle skin) surrounds the muscle like a stocking and is firm enough to hold the implant in the desired position.

For a skilled surgeon, this technique makes it easy to separate the fascia from the pectoralis major muscle and thus create a subfacial implant pocket.
